This new tool was developed by DIR’s partner, Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., funded through our Analytic Technical Assistance and Development (ATA&D) contract with the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) in the U.S. Department of Education.

DIR wins multiyear, multimillion dollar contract from DOL for data analytics work

Today (July 11, 2017), DIR announced the award of a $16 million dollar contract to provide data collection, analysis, and performance measurement support to the National Office of Job Corps in the U.S. Department of Labor. For decades, Job Corps has provided training to more than 2 million at-risk youths ages 16–24. Primarily a residential approach to training, Job Corps has 125 centers in 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. Job Corps’ goal is to ensure that graduates succeed in today’s knowledge-based economy by entering the workforce, enrolling in postsecondary education, or enlisting in the military and that they form a long-term attachment to the workforce as they find a path into middle-class jobs.

Kellogg Foundation selects DIR to lead the national evaluation of the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation framework

We are honored to announce that the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) has awarded DIR a three-year contract to conduct a national evaluation of the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) framework. Launched in 2016, the TRHT is a community-based effort focused on engaging communities, organizations, and individuals from multiple sectors across the United States to address the “historic and contemporary effects of racism.”
