Project Description
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has contracted with Decision Information Resources, Inc. (DIR) to conduct a national evaluation of banks’ experience with OCC’s examination and supervision process. The goal is to improve every institution’s experience with future supervision and the examination process.
DIR sends monthly letters via postal mail to bank presidents and CEOs alerting them to an upcoming 40-item web survey questionnaire. A survey invitation, containing a personalized survey link, is sent via email to each bank’s point of contact (POC). Banks have 30 days to respond to the survey. DIR sends periodic survey reminders to non-responders over that 30-day period. DIR submits monthly data and reports to OCC. Monthly reports highlight response rates, regional and bank size breakdowns, upcoming deliverables, and details on incidents and helpdesk issues.
DIR also produces a semi-annual and annual report for the client. These reports use ANOVA tests for cross-sectional analysis to identify significant differences between community banking groups, examine individual question scores, and calculate section averages. These reports integrate historical data to show a trend analysis that compares individual question scores and section averages across the four reporting periods. It also includes regression analyses to evaluate whether average scores change over time or average scores differ by community banking group.
