We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Cynthia Castaldo-Walsh, Dr. Tiara Jackson, Dr. Sylvia Epps, Oriana Perez, and Ventrice Shillingford-Cole from DIR, along with our colleagues at Lupus Therapeutics, Claire Finney and Taylor Adjei, will be presenting at the APHA 2024 Annual Meeting and Expo, themed “Rebuilding Trust in Public Health and Science.”
Event Details:
- Dates: October 27-30, 2024
- Location: Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN
Their presentation, titled “Working Together to Advance Health Equity in Lupus Clinical Trials through Project CHANGE: Lessons in Creating Equitable Partnerships and Engagement,” will share experiences of building relationships of trust, embodying equitable practices, amplifying community voices, and working collaboratively to address the underrepresentation of Black Americans in lupus clinical trials. Through the Lupus Therapeutics initiative, a coalition of academic and community partners is being built to develop effective solutions to overcome barriers to trial participation.
A huge congratulations to the incredible team and partners for their dedication and hard work:
